Watchmen Motion Comic Hits DVD

We told you back in May that Warner Brothers had plans to to “revive” its DVD sales with plans for a parallel release of the animated “Tales of the Black Freighter” along with a supplemental “Under The Hood” documentary which would be released a few days after the movie hits theaters.

Now it seems we’ll have another Watchmen movie tie-in DVD planned for parallel release with the film. Only three days before the graphic novel adaptation hits theaters, you will be able to buy a DVD or Blu-ray volume of the Motion Comic series.

Chapters of the motion comic have been available on iTunes and, with a new chapter being released every three weeks, for some time now, so the studio is throwing in a few incentives to get fans to snatch up the Watchmen Motion Comic on disc.

First of all, regardless of which version you buy, you get $7.50 in Movie Cash towards seeing Watchmen on the big screen. If you get the Blu-ray version of the Watchmen Motion Comic, you get even more. Included as an extra is the “Prison Break” scene from Watchmen, which you’ll get to see three days before the movie hits theaters. Also included on both versions is a preview of the upcoming Wonder Woman animated movie.

“Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic” will set you back $34.99 or around $27 when it goes up for pre-order. It hits retail stores on March 3rd.
