WatchmenComicMovie.com sources have discovered a possible location that may be used for some interior shots of Adrian Veidt's (Ozymandias) Antarctic retreat.
The Bloedel Floral Conservatory in Vancouver has a real uncanny resemblance to some of panels illustrating Veidt's vivarium in the graphic novel, right down to the tropical foliage and colorful wildlife.
Located in Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Park, the floral conservatory has been used as a filming location in April, 2003 for the interior of a sublight Botanical Cruiser for the television series Battlestar Galactica.
For more photos of the Bloedel Floral Conservatory, and a side by side comparison with panels from the graphic novel, head to the Movie Photos page of our site.
The cast and crew of Watchmen have been in Vancouver the past few weeks preparing for the film which begins is set to start principal photography later this month.
