:D !

I'm not too sure about what to recommend, the majority of HB fans think Ennis' "Dangerous Habits" (precisely the arc based on the movie) is the right place to start.

Now, it's deffinitely a great place to start, however, Ennis plays down the supernatural and metaphysical contents in favor of more political character drama, which is fucking amazing, but different.

I'll ask my comic shop guy, he's never really steered me wrong and knows a lot about everything comic related.

I look at this fucking poster and I still can't believe I thought this movie was very good.

But it is, it's a legitimately funny movie with some good laughs, best of all, it's ridiculously self-aware of what it's doing, it's another fucking remake, but they still managed to do something good with it.

Man if even YOU thought this was good...
I might have to seriously check it out.

I know, right? I would've expected Feliciano to cut this movie's testicles off and force feed them to it.

Well, the dude has a pretty high standard of what he considers good.
So if he says something is decent, it means its probably worth checking out.
Whereas if I say something is decent, it means cross-check it with almost everyone else here...
Fun times. :)

I was sharpening the blades actually !

But then my trusted critics started saying it was good, after forcefully lowering my sarcastic eyebrow with a crowbar, I decided to watch it.

There were a few storytelling flaws, but it was still a beautiful movie with quite a bit of humor and heart. Not a perfect movie, but definitely worth a look.

Regarding the twist, I completely disagree. I can see where she's coming from in regard to the slapstick, but bringing the mother and daughter together in such a way was the heart and core of the film. Additionally, Merida and Elinor are at loggerheads precisely because they can't communicate, and the twist forces the two of them to address that.

Regarding the ticking clock, yeah. I think that's another example of how Pixar had to use magical shortcuts to keep the plot moving forward, just because there were so many different plotlines competing for screentime.

"The resolution is not earned." Lady, what movie were you watching?!

That is actually a good tagline for that movie.

I actually just watched that again for the 2nd time the other night. It definitely holds up and I loved it more than the first time I saw it.

I also rewatched Kick-Ass and I can pretty much say the exact same thing.

Cilantro y Perejil (Recipes to stay together) 6/10-This might be the case of a good script ruined by mediocre direction. The camerawork is ugly and annoying, there is too much music, all to the point that it detracts from what is going on in the story. It's a shame because the performances and script are good enough to come through that, but not enough to save the entire film.

The Ides of March, not a bad movie, nothing that made me go "wow" though.

9/10

Tragic, powerful, brutal, sad, thought provoking and pulse pounding.
Amazing movie.

Its only flaw is kinda unavoidable, but still.
Theres so many cliche kids here. The fat kid. The nerd.
And while, granted they had no time to expand on these characters beyond mere cliche,
when the brainiac nerd shows up, he's quoting random ass math equasions.
Right. Cause people TOTALLY do that when they're fearing for their life.

That and some ocassional SERIOUS overplayed melodrama.

The "I've always loved you" right before they die got old after the 22nd time. No shit.

But these flaws are SOOOO trivial, they don't really affect the impact of the movie.
Definately recommended.
