it would have to be set 100% pre-avengers though. :(

Yup. I reckon any show they make will likely only allude to the Avengers anyways... can't afford to have Downey jnr. or Ms. Johanssen guesting on a TV budget!

maybe they'll do West Coast Avengers :D

Maybe they'll do Great Lakes Avengers.

RDJ has guested on Family Guy a few years ago, so I'm sure a cameo or two wouldn't be TOTALLY out of the question.

Originally read that as "RJ has guested on Family Guy". Thought it was a weird joke.

I disapprove because then how can Nathan Fillion be Star-Lord if he is Mal in the same movie?!?!

Gotta agree with the man, he got fucked...

Shame that a Shield movie won´t be a reality in the close future. Here´s hoping that the rumors that the Cap movie has a heavy Shield presence is true, and that Renner is brought back to be the Hawkeye he wanted to be.

Am I the only one who doesn't want a ton of S.H.I.E.L.D. right now? I think it'd be foolish to go into depth on them because they are suppose to be the most cloak and dagger organization in the world, I like not knowing anything about them.

Yeah... but we're the audience? We GET that look behind the scenes.
Just because the world doesn't know Bruce Wayne is Batman doesn't mean we shouldn't.
I suppose you might also never want to see the batcave? And Wayne Manor?

Way to extrapolate what I said and make it something completely different...

I'm saying I don't want the focus to be put on S.H.I.E.L.D. because to me it's more fun having the secret and Mysteries, do you really want to know what Nick Fury is doing every second? To me his character is made more intriguing knowing he's in the shadows lurking... doing stuff nobody is aware of. If the spotlight is constantly put on Fury and Friends then there will be less mystique about them.

I'd also add that if the title of the movie is "Captain America," the film had damn well better be about Captain America. The last thing we need is SHIELD hijacking someone else's film. That's how we wound up with Iron Man 2.

Of all the characters in the MCU Cap is the only one that requires a support structure and is lacking one at the moment.Stark has Stark Industries,Banner requires none,Thor has Asgard.
Cap had the support of that special division after leaving the USO and freeing those soldiers, and in the Avengers he had the backing of Shield,or atleast they were actively helping him.

It´s stands to good reason that Shield will help. He´s not gonna solo the entire movie.Since Hawkeye got screwed in the Avengers, it would the logical choice, but maybe they will introduce other people...

The difference is that with S.H.I.E.L.D. backing him in a solo movie you'll get a lot of named characters getting screen time and taking away from Captain America... where as the Howling Commandos were more or less just extras that were required in a war movie that had a super hero in it. SH.I.E.L.D. does atually play a pretty big role in Brubakers run, but they are never the focus and they never draw away from Cap, but Brubaker is also probably the best Cap writer of all time.

I think that'd be best. You need to bring in Sharon, but if Widow and Hawkeye show up that'll be too much. I'd much rather see Cap fighting with Falcon and Sharon than with Hawkeye and Widow.

Fuck, forgot Falcon had been cast. That seriously hinders any chance of Hawkeye appearing.Fuck it here's hoping that atleast Hill comes back/has a expanded role.

Damn, a Hurt Locker reunion would have pretty sweet...
