This is the part where one tries to find out what is happening in Ridley Scott's life, is he bankrupt ? is he in an ugly divorce ? does he simply like attention ? etc.

These actually sound really cool. I've always wanted to know more about Mr. Space Jockey.

Sounds like he's been thinking about this for years, and he's distancing himself from AVP so...

I absolutely love Ridley Scott's Alien. Film making at its best.

So to hear that he's going to be directing a prequel? Couldn't be happier! :D

While this does sound more promising than Predators, purely because it's got Scott involved, I'm still amped for Predators. It should atleast be better than Predator 2...

Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.Stars Theron as the head of the Weyland-Yutani corporation, while Rapace will play Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (being compared to Ellen Ripley's character). Logan Marshall-Green is Shaw's love interest, Idris Elba stars as Captain Janek, and Michael Fassbender plays an android

it's an original film (and a science fiction film, for one)
good casting (so far)

I'm confused. The Weyland-Yutani corporation is in this so is Scott just recycling the name?

I was under the impression that Prometheus will be an Alien prequel of sorts, yet there seem to be conflicting reports on this.
