I AM NOT AMUSED!!!

But, actually, I don't care that much if it gets put off. I'm not really looking forward to it that much. Not because I don't like Death Note, but because a film adaptation might not turn out that well. Of course, I hope they don't end up foregoing Shane Black in favor of someone who might not do as good a job.

I bet that David Fincher would inmediately start working on a Death Note adaptation if someone bothered to tell him such an anime exists.

I think I would literally die of joy if that were ever to occur.

Please AYB, could you tell Mr. Fincher to do the Death note movie, you know, in pillow talk.

8-)

One of the comments:

"**** YOU SHANE BLACK! You wasted the oppertunity of a villain over some stupid character for nothing! No one wants Submariner! You stupid piece of ****! WE WANT EITHER MANDARIN OR FIN FANG FOOM! If you don't reconsider than you will regret this!!!"

Quite the exaggerated reaction to be honest !

Tthe Manderin being a racist caricature was an interesting comment from Black, especially since I see a lot of room for him being modified to not be racist at all. Name him like a Triad boss that was a big gun runner, and somehow aquired the rings of power, or something, how would that be racist?

This.

The Mandarin is one of the very few comic book villains who perfectly symbolizes the lust for power.

Agreed, his current incarnation in the pages of Fractons IIM is far from racial caricature. Also, Fin Fang foom would be a stupid villain for IM3. I would like Mandarin, but if Namor makes his way into the MMU... I'll be very happy. I'd prefer if it was invaders related or in a big invasion of New york with the Avengers stopping him... but I'd be happy with this

Alright This article caught my eye on Facebook And i really don't know who they are talking about. As some of you know I read a few comics every now and then and I can't think of who a nanotech related IM villain is that would require an actor on Kingsley's level.

The only way I could see this is introduce A.I.M. but I don't think MODOK would work on screen...

He'd have to be reinterpreted.

Personally, I don't think MODOK works even in the comics, his killer man-machine schtick got old a long time ago.

When I first heard this news I thought maybe they'll reinterpret Mandarins magic as nano technology, say his rings contain alien nano bots and they can do anything he wills them to? Might work, a bit of sufficiently advanced technology being indistinguishable from magic,

Now this is news that isn't a month old already
