It's not a graphic novel, but I just finished reading "You Suck" by Christopher Moore. The man's a genius.

1) GAM (Global Audit Methodology) by Ernst and Young

2) FRS (Financial Reporting Standards) by some global accounting body that consist of multiple national accounting body.

It's very graphic cause it's hurting my eyes right now. :P

p/s: it's peak period in the financial world. Audited reports need to be submitted!

I finished reading the last three books in the Dark Tower series. I just started reading The Fionavar Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay. My sister bought it for me for Christmas. I don't normally go for that kind of swords and sorcery style of books, but she knew I read the Lord of the Rings books, and thought I might like it. The idea of reading it seemed a little daunting, as it has characters with hard to pronounce names, and mages and dwarves and as I said, it's not really my favorite genre. But that's not my problem with the book so far.

The story also takes place in modern (or modern in 1985) Toronto. OK, so I thought, cool, some of it's set in my city. And I got a small kick out of seeing some of the Toronto references (like street names, locals, etc). But the story seemed to move much too quickly. Basically it involves characters jumping from the real world, to an alternate world. And they do this after the first 20 pages of the story. My biggest problem is, that while the characters themselves are written realistically, their reactions to what is happening to them are not. There was no scene where the characters say "wow. Can you believe we're in another world? Another dimension? Isn't that crazy?!" Maybe it's just that after reading the Dark Tower, which is also about a group of characters who are drawn from the real world to partake in a quest, I have trouble reading this, especially when King did a better job setting up the story. It's still early, as I have over 800 pages to go (Jesus), but that lack of surprise or awe in the characters is distracting.

Not to get off topic but has anyone read a book, only to realize early on they probably would not like it?

I love Black Hole. I can't believe that it took Charles Burns 10 years to complete, but the consistency of the art and writing doesn't waver at all!

I look forward to his next long-form work.

Cool. I like Busiek's Astro City series.

I read Black Hole a while back. The artwork has a very independent look to it. Very Gothic Horror feel to it.

In the last few months I've read:

That is odd. My wife is reading God is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens, even as I write. I'm waiting my turn.

Have always loved the film since I saw it years ago, and saw the book in the book shop while I was looking for a gift for a friend. Thought I would give it a go.... glad I did!!!

Oh, and to the first poster, that has to be the best comicbook of all time. (Sorry, I know this is a wachmen board, but my fave is Batman).

Currently re-reading The Nikopol Trilogy, then moving on to the highly controversial Lost Girls.

I've read erotica before so i doubt it'll offend me.
