as someone who liked Smallville a lot, I am glad to see they have made the wise decision to carry on the story in comic book form, from Brian Q miller who worked on Smallville a lot, and wrote the critically acclaimed Stephanie brown Batgirl series,

I never made it past halfway through season 2 of Smallville, but as many people here know, I thought that Miller's Batgirl series was pretty much the best thing on shelves when it was coming out, so I might pick up the first issue just because of him.

you missed out, the first 2 or 3 seasons were known for their "freak of the week" structure, but season 4 or so onwards the plots got a lot better, not to mention they bring in Lois, Lex gradually turns evil, and Green arrow becomes a regular character.
