I am a diehard miniatures wargamer and toy soldier collector (multiple eras) and have recently pulled out my set of WATCHMEN 25mm miniature figures issued by Grenadier back in the late 1980s as a tie-in to the DC heroes RPG.

Maybe I could even get some tabletop use out of them someday in some sci-fi miniatures game.
Something that bugged me was the lack of many Watchmen universe villains -- but the other day I came across Pulp Figures manufacturer and discovered that some of his 28mm figures would make excellent Watchmen villains, both common and costumed. Check out the ranges here:
http://www.pulpfigures.com/main.phpespecially the "Personalities", "Gangland Justice", "Weird Menace" and "Germans"
The PWM-1 set Weird Villains includes a superb Screaming Skull type. PWM-12 Mad Science I shows a possible Spaceman (with ray weapon). The Gangland Justice range includes 1930s-40s-era thugs, including some figures in masks (or you could paint domino masks on them), suitable for the Underboss and his ilk in particular. PGJ-13 shows a magician that might double for Moloch in fancy stage attire. Lots of colorful Nazis among this catalog. And look at PGS-24, Zeppelin Troopen Gasmasks 2 -- the central figure looks just like the movie version of Captain Axis, with the addition of an overcoat. I am really inspired to pick up a bunch of these and start painting, and make a special place in my collection for the world of the Watchmen.
I'm open for suggestions for Captain Carnage...
