Hong Kong based toy company Hot Toys has revealed a teaser for their third Watchmen figure, Rorschach.

It's only his head, but it's a good sign of things to come.

This is great and everything but...when does he ever have slicked hair?

He's not Mr. Orange.

I guess it's because u're going to use "the face" to it so u must make his hair a bit rounded shape...so it wont distorted the shape of his face when he put his mask on...

i've even got the update of it's development, and all i can say is: worth a wait...so far what i've seen the accessories will be: 2 mask, a grappling gun and Walter's head...here's hoping for some axe, the journal, hairspray and maybe more mask??? :P

I'll be tempted to buy that but it will no doubt be expensive.

Fuck me. If the figure is anything like The Comedian figure, it'll no doubt be better than the DCD figure (and more pricey unfortunately)

Thank you for the image. I preferred Hot Toys' Rorschach than the DC Direct version, from what I see, the former has a much authentic look, especially the trench coat.

Anytime Goldschach...i agree with u, the trench coat has an authenthic look as hot toys always try to similar their material to the source...it feels so rusty, old and rigid...
i don't like how dcd's version look in the shoulder part..looks too narrow and doesn't have a rigid feeling of a trench coat...

That looks really good, but is it just me or is the grapple gun and his hat Gray?

PROTOTYPES MAN.

Fff I really really hope that the Hot Toys comes with his hobo change of clothes and an END IS NIGH sign. That's a huge selling point to me.

That would probably sell me on it too and I rarely buy things like this.

Yeah..i think we'll see to that, IF: Hot Toys Watchmen line sold well, so they decide to make a Walter Kovacs 1/6 figure OR there will be some kind of reissue with some modification and additional accessories (as you say the hobo clothes and signs, maybe a new head sculpt), the same thing occurs in Hot Toys The Dark Knight line, where only Batman and the Joker got this kind of reissue treatment in a more luxury state called movie masterpiece deluxe or MMS DX and Superman Returns (the 2 in 1 version of Supes/Clark)

I must concur with you, sir. Besides, the DC Direct version looks clean and so light colored, and doesn't really have the dark personality 'feel' to it. So, I have good faith that Hot Toys wouldn't disappoint with this Rorschach action figure they're making right now, as you've said, the trench coat really does have the dirt and grime and crusts on it, as if it's been frequently stored in the dumpster. Especially the pants, too. And that, is truly what Rorschach IS.

However, I think Hot Toys can do well with a rusty and bloody cleaver to go along with it though.

Not sure if Ozy and the Doc will be made, but Hot Toys is for sure in development on:

Silk Spectre II (going to be released next week, Sold Out)
The Comedian (announced and up for pre-order at Sideshow Collectibles)
Rorschach (official announcement soon)
Nite Owl II (in prototyping)
