I'm not trying to take sides here, really. I'm just trying to call it as I see it.

Note, for example, that though DC is perfectly eager to solicit the blessings of Moore and co., DC isn't offering anything more than lip service for it.

I can't wait for these. Do you think they'll make them like the Watchmen novel? Put all of them into chapters? If not, do you think they'll make the 4 each issues into their own? or.. What lol.

There's one topic that details how many issues there will be per mini.

I don't quite understand what you're asking here.

I think he means, will it be collected into one big TPB or one TPB per mini series.

I suspect they will be one TPB per miniseries, I have never seen a collection of comics into a TPB as long as Before Watchmen will be, in colour, so I suspect that they can, or only choose to, print big omnibuses in b/w, (such as The Walking Dead Compendium and Bone: One Volume) however they do occasionally do big HC collections in colour, I believe there is a 1000 page ultimate spider-man collection now, and DC were planning on doing all new-52 books in one big collection, which would be more than the number of BW books, so they will possibly do a big HC collection of all Before Watchmen.[/speculation]

I was actually wondering, does anyone here know anybody who was a big enough moron to buy this when it came out?

When they first announced it I considered it, but then when it came out I saw that it's WAAAAAAAY too expensive (even if it is still a lot cheaper than buying each issue individually) and yeah, you'd have to be a moron to spend that much on it.

But I guess the point is that it's not for reading, it's for owning, so that just doubly makes it a pointless purchase.

Even if it was cheap as chips, who would want a trade where every chapter ended on a cliffhanger that isn't continued at all in that trade?

like I said, it's not really for reading, it's for owning, but anyone that wants to read the first bit of every series before deciding on which series' to stick with, was the reason I considered it, but I changed my mind and decided to not bother at all.

So, do you guys recommend I buy each issue individually? Like, each set?

My friends and family, no doubt. I'd stake my wallet that I'll be getting at least one of these for my birthday.

If his fiancée loved him, she'd like Akira.

That's what I think.
