[NOTE: This thread is an amalgam of three threads that were started in response to exclusive Watchmen clips at Total Film, MSN and Comcast. More will likely come, so stay tuned to this thread. --"Curiosity Inc."]

Damn, I wish they would show just a little bit of the Comedian attacking people, but it's short and very, very sweet...

Amazing! I like how the cammera pans under the rioters lighting the whine bottle. Ugh, only two or so more long weeks away.

What do people think of the slow-mo? I reckon it works really well here, when the Comedian gets up... it gives the impression that he's a wild animal about to set himself loose...which he inevitably does, of course...

Oh WOW.

So it's confirmed that "I'm Your Boogie Man" plays during this! Great stuff!

And AYB already mentioned this on that site's comments, but from seeing the iTunes footage it's going to be great to hear "Please, there is no need for violence!" and then cut to the Comedian punching that woman. :D

This is amazing! Great find, AYB!

Dude, I love how the crowd backs away from him. It shows up much better here than in the iTunes footage. You don't mess with costumed heroes, superpowers or not...

Can someone name the music?

I agree, the slow motion works in this scene. I have confidence it wont be over used like in another movie involving 300 spartans. :D

I have fast internet and that stupid video player on that page won't load all the way. So it pauses every few seconds of video. Really annoying. After I've watched through it once, you'd think that it would be loaded and wouldn't intermittently pause every few seconds. But no! A better website needs to get this.

Haha, Boogie Man doesn't quite fit, yet. I think it will click with the scene right as Blake lands the punch.

Wilson sounds great, I like it. However, there was something about Morgan's line that was off, and I really could have done without the slo-mo on the way down...

Pretty nice for the first actual footage I've seen.

I'M YOUR BOOGIE MAN! :) Awesome!

That was a short but sweet little clip. I think the slow-mo can work as long as the rest of the clip remains at standard speed and we see the Comedian busting heads from there on...

I'm not one to hate on slow-mo just to hate on slow-mo, but it lasted a liiiittle bit long for my taste. I guess it could work better when it's in with the rest of the movie. It was still really nice to finally see an actual clip from a scene, though.

Their video player fucking sucks. Shitty quality, squished box, and I can't even get it to play correctly.

Wow... I have to agree with most people, the slow-mo works in this scene, especially considering that it's a flashback... also, I love when he lands on the ground, there's such a difference between him and the civilians...

And I'm Your Boogeyman playing in the background is genius... :D

I absolutely love Wilson and Morgans' line delivery...

March 6th... please hurry...

That. Is. Near. Perfect.

Nite Owl sounds FANTASTIC.

The Comedian lands, and the slo-mo gives it a sort of "the ground shakes" feel when the people react to his arrival, as if he's this larger than life figure...who looks like a complete tool in the meantime.

Love the "There is no need for violence" bit, becaue we all know what happens next.

Maybe it's the music, but this reminds me of the "Disco Sucks" fiasco that took place at Comiskey Park back in '79 during a misguided promotional event for a White Sox game.

Yeah. Start to play it, then quickly pause it. Wait a minute or so, then click play again. It should have loaded all the way so that it doesn't get all choppy on you. Can't fix the quality or squishiness, unfortunately.

Thanks for the thought, AYB, but I finally got it working.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

I loved everything in the clip. Most of all?

I dunno if this has already came up but does anyone know when the heck "I'm your Boogie Man." is going to play durning Watchmen? The fact that it's in the sound track made me listen to it and now I am addicted to it for reasons unknown to me. I'm just stumped where they'd put it, all I can really think of is maybe Ror stalking somewhere in the 70's and that song playing.

I'm hoping for the Keene Riots.

:D

It was only a 10 second(?) clip and I'm already grinning like an idiot. I'm gonna go into overload when I see the whole film.
