It's not that hard, once you realize that life is fucking short, and you should get the best out of any situation. Girls are complicated, yes, and sometimes it seems they are on another completely different universe, but when there's connection, well, that's one of the best moment in life one could hope for.

And now I do sound like a fag. Thanks godziller!

Argentinians = Natural pussies :) !

There are two pieces of advice that I've always considered invaluable when picking up chicks:

1) They say women like details, pampering, attention, talking, bla bla bla bla. But if you go out with somebody, if you play it cool, YOU MAKE CLEAR WHAT YOU WANT, and then you just go for it (asking her to be your girlfriend, holding her hand, kissing her) then you've done 20% of the job.

Where's the other 80% ?

2) Walk into every goddamn place like you are going to get every woman pregnant, and that's 80% of the job done.

It sounds like a broken record, I know it does, but it's all about confidence and making them notice it.

No, he isn't right at all. Come on, you guys can't really be this oblivious to women. Brooklyn said:

Dr. Brooklyn wrote:
Well, she said she'd heard of Batman and Superman and expected me to be impressed because she saw IM and IM2

Now did she actually say "I saw Iron Man. Isn't that impressive"? Or do you just assume she was trying to impress you with that?

Dr. Brooklyn wrote:
I don't insult her, I just don't engage her, I haven't called her a single name (actually I don't really know her name) but I don't openly insult her, I just am a tad sarcastic

You don't even know this girl's name? Yet you're here complaining that she's trying to hit on you? Jebus....And you might not be insulting her to her face, but you are doing it behind her back.

With all due respect Brooklyn, you might not want to immediately brush this girl off. She's taking an interest in you. In you. She sounds like she's doing an awkward ass job of it, but insulting her for not knowing a bunch of comic book movies? Lame.

Well, when mentioned IM she got all excited and said I've actually heard of those, I've even seen them! So she was rather proud of herself for it

t3cii wrote:

Well, I think it's Allison... I think. Trust me, t3cii, if you saw how she acts towards me you'd know she's hitting on the Doctor (all women want to marry doctors, remember) But I'm just not interested in her.

t3cii wrote:

The way you say in me makes it seem like I'm hard to like at times... hurm.

Well, to be frank we've been in class for like 5 weeks now, and this is just one of those squid's that broke the camels back. She compliments my drawings and stuff, but she's just very condescending because she's already taking calc and I haven't, etc.

She's just one of those people who inserts themselves in the conversations of others and that pisses me off. Like I'm no more sarcastic to her than I am to you guys (now I'm going ot get a bunch of posts saying I'm too sarcastic to you guys). i guess what I'm trying to say is that she's just an annoying person, this was just another brick in the annoying wall.

No I got she was trying ot make conversation, I just don't think people should make conversation's that they know nothing about. Don't start like you know a lot, only to reveal you know nothing, start with maybe a "Oh? Well, is that common?", and then I could say "yes" and she could go "Oh, well, what atre some comic movies, maybe I could check them out some time" and I could be all "[insert List]" and she could be all "really? I didn't know that! Wow, Dr. Brooklyn you are the king of comics and comic accesories!" and I could be all

Well, that at least seems understandable. At first you made it seem like she was just ignorant of comic book movies. Some people just have poor social skills. All you can do is avoid her or put up with her. If she eventually asks you out, you can be direct and tell her you're not interested.

Dr. Brooklyn wrote:

Probably true, although I can sympathize with someone wanting to make conversation by trying to engage in their interests. I'm inclined to do that. "So, you're a ballet dancer, eh? That's like....dancing, right?".

I was thinking this might have sounded harsh. It's just that this forum has a few gay members. I don't know if they still visit, but I think it's best to avoid any such slurs on this forum, and in life, actually.

For fuck's sake Hanley, it's a metaphor  !

Just BE CONFIDENT, look them in the eyes, talk to them with assurance, GIVE HINTS, and then make your move.

Really, IT'S THAT SIMPLE, you already have a lot of stuff going for you, you're tall, you're thin, you're smart, you also LOOK smart.

Kay. I pretty much knew what you meant, but you worded it in such an exaggerated fashion that it struck me as extremely daunting and ridiculous.

But yeah, thanks for the advice. Seriously.

NiteOwl --> "I told her I liked her".

That would've been fine ! In fact, considering the circumstances she would've EASILY gone to first base with him.

No disrepect to the laydees !

Remember this moment the next time you decide to take my comments in such a literal way

No problem, you'll find out by yourself that's it's MUCH easier than it seems.

When the kid said that he never wanted to feel that way again, I thought that Michael Douglas was going to mimic crashing the car into a tree or something to illustrate a point about life.
