Since this is the inevitable Christmas thread, it is also now the post your loot thread.

So far, I've received $220 ($120 in cash, $100 gift certificate to Best Buy), CoD: Black Ops for 360 (yet sadly my sister somehow managed to get her 360 stolen, she should have totally left it home instead of bringing it to her school, or better yet let me taken it to my school where I know it would have been safe), The Book of Eli on DVD, and so far that's it. Will update this post in the future, as I will be getting stuff later today, then on Sunday as well.

Oh, and fuck Halloween you guys, Kwanzaa is where it's at now.

Who was it on facebook chat that said we had to be black to celebrate?

My dad managed to track down a Watchmen mug. I guess Watchmen merch is getting really hard to find now.

Also got a Blu-Ray copy of The Complete Metropolis and a Scott Pilgrim DVD (I'll probably track down the Blu-Ray later). My sister also got a copy of Epic Mickey, but that's mine once she goes back to college.

Speaking of which, she got me this cool owl statuette from her recent travels in Europe. Apparently, it's a replica of a tribute to Athena, my favorite among the Greco-Roman pantheon.

I also walked away with $150 cash and another $50 check, my semi-annual resupply of Regal passes (30 blue passes and a $25 gift card will pay for quite a few blog entries), a fresh wallet and other assorted odds and ends.

Ok, what with this and recent posts in the Women thread... we just need to clarify that you are not in fact Dan Dreiberg...?

Well, I got a lot of presents (most from myself, because I love being... me :D). A couple of them I opened before Christmas because I had to see if they worked, and, well, in some cases, because I had to :

-The Star Wars movies (this and this)
-Children of Men
-Dead Poet's Society
-A couple of shows on DVD (Linkin Park and Gustavo Cerati)
-Blade Runner: The Final Cut
-Inception
-The 40 year old virgin (the dvd is awesome)
-Gran Torino

I bought a couple of books too:
- "Under the Dome" Stephen King
- "Necronomicon" H.P. Lovercraft
- "Hellraiser" Clive Barker
- "Brave New World" Aldous Huxley

In a couple of days, my packets from Amazon will arrive. I ordered:
- "A brief history of time" Stephen Hawkings (Because I thought, "Hey, If I'm going to be a nerd, I will go full nerd then")
- "Billions & Billions: Thoughts on Life and Death at the Brink of the Millennium" Carl Sagan
- Thor Vol.1 and 2 (The JMS reboot)
- Exiles Vol.1
- Batman: Arkham Asylum (the graphic novel)
- Superman: Red Son
- Shaun of the Dead (the dvd is REALLY hard to find around here)

And my mother got me a t-shirt, and one of these (that was actually a really nice surprise, because I have one, but it's kinda shitty, and I really needed one of these). Oh, and some family friends got me a car-shaped mouse, with lights and everything.

I got for my family:
- An original Zippo lighter for my father with the face of Che Guevara (my father is a political activist, and really admires him. Tried to find one with the face of Nestor Kirchner, but couldn't find it) and the last U2 DVD (The 360 tour)
- Two of these for my mother (she loves painting, so I bought her a small one and a big one)
- Both Maus volumes for my sister (she actually loved, and it will be a nice introduction to the world of Graphic Novels and all that... let's see how she takes reading Watchmen, because she loved the movie) and the DVD pack with the three Toy Story movies.

Overall, it was a nice Christmas. I bought a lot, and got a lot of things for my family. Too bad I had to work yesterday.

Well Diego, you know how it is when it comes to false idols, to each their own :)

Still, I'm glad that Ghondar had an awesome and very capitalist (present-wise) christmas :D !

really annoyed though because she unwrapped it, only to find it broken!! i have no idea how it got broken, i'm pretty sure it was broken before i wrapped it, extra annoying because it's limited edition of only 500 pieces
