So 'ziller, did L have the hots for Light ? I was talking with a friend about the "massage" scene, we both had quite a laugh about it

My feelings on this matter are...perhaps.

Though that was really supposed to be some type of bible symbolism or something. I suppose that L thought that Light wasn't Kira but that he was going to die soon anyway and he wanted to make it up to Light or something so he decided to help dry him off in a kind of homoerotic fashion.

That scene is not in the manga, by the way. I wouldn't really mind its addition if I didn't get 20 million Light and L pictures every time I image searched one of them, but I guess those would probably be there anyway.

So... Should I bother with the films or are they just abridged manga? (Live action)

Your mileage may vary. I still haven't seen the second one, though.

But you should watch the anime if you haven't. I can't remember if you did or not.

I only read the manga, but I've heard that the anime was mostly the same anyway so no big lost.

However I did see an episode and realized: Wow...They have really good English dubs, which is a pretty rare thing in animes.

I liked the series. It wasn't my favorite but it was definitely interesting. I had a bit of trouble keeping up sometimes, but the characters were unique, which I liked.

Light I wanted to smack constantly, but mostly just because he was arrogant, which is kind of the whole point since he had a God Complex. So I can't say I liked him, but I did find him to be a good character. It's kind of like with normal villains. You're not suppose to like their personalities (although there are a few exceptions), but you can like them as a character in the plot.

Just like L. I wouldn't be able to stand him if he was a real person, but his actual character is very interesting.

The plot was very interesting, the question of "if you had the power to kill off those you saw as evil, would you?"
Hurm. Can't help but think of Rorschach when I think of this, lol. But anyway, I definitely liked the series, even with it's flaws. *coughMisacouch*

I don't. I just don't think she's quite as annoying as everyone else thinks she is.

Edit: Let me rephrase that. She's annoying, but I don't think she's as detrimental to the series as everyone else thinks she is.

If I had to score Death Note on a scale of 10, I would give it an 8.5 or a 9, now, if it doesn't have a 10 it certainly isn't because of Misa, even though she still is an incredibly pointless character that obliterates the pace and the plot in the worst moments

I'll agree with you on this. An annoyance? Certainly. But yeah, she's not the worst thing that could have happened to the series.

When will the english dub episodes of Death Note be availiable to buy in a boxset? I was just wondering when I could expect to get my hands on the Death Note series boxset. It has to be english dubbed though.

Sweet tap dancing Jesus! Someone actually posted in this thread! :) *fixes hair, adjusts collar*

*ahem*

They're already out. In North America, you can get the entire series in two separate box sets and in England or pretty much anywhere that's Region 2, you can get it in one. So if you live in either of those places, then you're good. I'm not sure about everywhere else, though.

I smell a spambot too, but there aren't any links on his sig, profile or post yet. Until they crop up, we treat this as a regular post.

Ziller's best friend is a spambot...?

I find that simultaneously hilarious and heartbreaking.
