I've never played RDR, but I've seen it plenty. Might get it eventually, but seems dependent on engrossing yourself to get much out of it. Deus Ex, on the other hand, is instantly thrilling and there's plenty of depth to sink your teeth into, so it gets my recommendation.

I love the idea of diversified gameplay, which Deus Ex seems to be offering in spades.

Anyways, if things go well, I'll be able to buy both without any problem.

Now, has anyone played Brütal Legend ? That's another title I'm interested, but I'm not fully convinced on.

I thought it was a great and incredible game, right until the ending scene.

That made it one of the best games I've ever played.
And that's no easy task, seeing that I've been gaming since I was 5.

Guys, just how good is Deux Ex: Human Revolution ?

I'll soon be buying a new game, possibly two (maybe making this question a little pointless), but if you had to choose between Red Dead Redemption or Deus Ex, which would you say is the best ?

I have both and I prefer deus ex, but mostly because sci fi is my genre of choice, red dead is still awesome.

I also have brutal legend, and loved it, the rts elements are hard to get used to, but everything else about it is awesome.

Thanks guys for the help !

So far, my priority order for next games to buy is a tie between Red Dead Redemption and Deus Ex.

But...I must ask.

Just how good is the latest Mortal Kombat ?

If I had to choose between Deus Ex and Mortal Kombat, would it even be a fair fight ?

I love the Mortal Kombat franchise, but Deus Ex is just fucking seducing me, it made me doubt Red Dead Redemption, which I've been......lusting.....for a long time.

Red Dead Redemption is fucking great. I'm keen to play through again sometime, if I ever get the time for such a big game.

Mortal kombat is a great beat em up but unless you are going to play online a lot it won't compare to deus ex in longevity, but if you love the mk franchise, it's worth getting for story and game play

the dlc for mk is pretty good too. at first i was against the idea of freddy kreuger, but the way they integrated him into the story was cool.

I finished God of War today and will be making my way to the mall soon to buy GoW II and most likely Arkham City (and depending on any possible sales other stuff too)

And now that I have my new kick-ass laptop, I've been playing through a number of games.

GTA 4
Portal 2
Metro 2033
Skyrim
Dead Island
Duke Nukem Forever
RAGE
The Old Republic

^Speaking of TOR, anyone else here play? It would be cool to set up a WCM guild in-game..
