Well, I figured this thread might as well exist in some way. I really don't buy alot of music, so if I do it's really only for artists I know I like in advanced I guess. Anyways, this is probably the entire list of the albums I bought this year

I hated Watch The Throne. Overhyped.

I didn't check out too many full albums in '11. I've been buying older albums lately. But I did buy Foo Fighters "Wasting Light" which is a great album. Also, Florence + The Machine's "Ceremonials" is amazing.

I've only had one dream in my life with kids in it that didn't involve me gnawing my feet off, and it had to do with kids doing my laundry.

I can't put them in any order, though it seems like violentnewcountry and I have slightly similar taste in music.

Seems as if they can just come out with an album full of computer blips and some fans will still think it's brilliant.

Neat! Sadly I haven't listened to Biophilia, I actually forgot about it. I downloaded the first single from it, twas was really cool. Will have to get onto that.

No, I didn't bother buying it. The whole album can be found online, and Under Cover of Darkness is really the only song off of it I like, although Taken for A Fool isn't bad. The last two Strokes albums just don't live up to the first two. I think the band has one more album left to make, then they'll probably break up.

Indeed, that and the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo were probably my two favorite scores of '11. Honestly preferred it to Williams' Tintin score, which is certainly nice but it feels more-or-less like a rehash of previous work (which was nominated for the Oscars).

Really though I think Dragon Tattoo was severely underlooked at the Academy Awards.
