Tyrion continues to be a bad ass, leading the troops when Joffrey bitches out was an amazing scene... mainly because we see that Tyrion actually cares about others now (meaning it's a matter of time until Shay gets the hard goodbye)
Well, so far Cersei has been pretty oblivious to EVERYTHING around her, for someone as devious and deceptive, she sure as shit had a hard time losing her insider in the Council and gloating about NOT capturing Tyrion's mistress

Lena Headey should win the emmy. Her Cersei is more layered than an onion parfeit (I really don't care about the proper spelling of that) and the scenes with her and Sansa ave been golden.
I'd rather give any credit to Cersei's great presence in this episode to a fat, four-eyed Santa Claus pretender called George R.R. Martin !
Lena Headey is a decent actress, but she's not really on par with others like Dinklage, Flynn, Clarke, Gillen, among others. That thing she does with her lips, which 90% of the times ends in "I want to poop" face got old back when she appeared in frikkin 300.

The actions scenes were on par with what I've come to expect from theatre films, the ships and the landing sequence was extremely well done and it was nice to finally have an epic battle.
WILDFIRE*drools*

Joffrey's downfall is rapidly approaching, me thinks. Tywin just had a crossing the Rubicon moment, the people of King's Landing will have a lot of affection for the Lannisters (after Tyrion and Tywin save the day) and Baratheons can't be too popular right now...
It's an interesting thought, because it raises questions about what the commoner really thought about the battle, for all we know, they might have been rooting for Stannis given how they were throwing.......black.....unknown.....stuff at Joffrey's face a few episodes ago, I mean, Joffrey isn't exactly the "Bad person, good king" type of ruler, people hate his fucking guts, and they do Tyrion's as well; what was it that they called him ? Devil monkey or some shit ?
At least people didn't seem to be up in arms when Robert ruled the land, seriously, is there anyone in Westeros that has any appreciation for the Lannisters but themselves ?
Then of course is the little issue with the "spoils of war" thing Stannis was mostly going to.........overlook, to mildly describe.............raping and pillaging

The Hound got the best moments he's had in the entire series, we finally get to see the man that is beneath the mantle.
Kinda trying to decide who is the real comedian of Westeros ! Either him or Jamie Lannister.
The thing about Sandor Clegane is that he is more tragic, and less self-aware, he is conflicted, unlike Jamie who just doesn't give a single fuck !

For me it lacked enough non King's Landing scenes, there is literally a world of drama... a sift in focus would have built some suspense and filled us in on te other story lines.
SCREW everyone else

!
I sure want to see what is happening with the others, but that could perfectly wait until next week, any change of scenery would've broken the constant tension of the battle, besides, we don't get episodes without large jumps as often as we'd like, so I thought for once, it was a good experiment !
