So, there's this girl in my summer class. I had noticed her looking at me from time to time. And I would do the same, she's pretty smoking hot to my taste. I hadn't had a chance to talk to her much since she gets pretty late to class and my teacher starts out instantly. But a while back I noticed she had some printed copies of a book she used for class, so I asked her if she was taking that course. She said she did but we couldn't get to talk anymore afterwards.

Today, I decided I would talk to her a bit more. We ended up talking about the class a bit more and I decided I would help her out if she needed anything. We were talking and then we were interrupted by the start of the class. At the end of the class, I asked her to wait up and she did. But once I got outside, another guy was making the exact same offer. But then the guy left and we ended up talking to each other for a bit about making videos and then turns out we have a friend in common and we ended up talking for a bit. She's quite fun to talk to, especially since she talks A LOT. And she's always cracking jokes. Hell, at the end of our conversation, she cracked quite a dirty quip that took me aback. I ended up getting her number.

So as wrong as these things could be, I get the feeling she likes me a bit at least. Given the way she had looked at me during class, how she talked like crazy and while we talked there were times when she would tap my shoulder or my forearm. My friend tells me she doesn't have a boyfriend and that overall, she's pretty cool. I'll see her again tomorrow, well I see her all of the week. So yeah, not a bad start I guess.

needs more line breaks and an obscure name (NiteOwl green)

way more line breaks. And you totally need to raid some comic books for a name or something dude.

but... seriously guys.
I just let go of my dream girl tonight.
The woman I am madly in love with.

I found someone else. And it was time.

But goddamn... it was gut wrenching talking this out with her.
Was a wreck by the time we hung up.
I say it all the time, but this was... truly... one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.
And even to someone who never even reciprocated.
It was like breaking up with someone you never dated.
Sounds easy,
but when you feel like this about them...

*sigh*

Not to be a prick, but how is he supposed to know you're being honest?

Why would I still be lying? And if he assumes I'm lying, don't bother saying anything unless you're gonna try to call me on the carpet for it again.

If you want, message Rebecca, ask her about me.
Anything you wanna know.

Good for you, but I do bother, and I don't have to "call you out on the carpet" if I feel like speaking my mind.

Don't like that ? Weeeeell...

You know, I can perfectly believe Rebecca exists, she has a plausible name for starters.

Okay okay. Fair.

But yeah. Its really really difficult.
Its a long distance thing that just...
I dunno.
We've been best friends for about four years. We play around every day.
I've gotten real used to getting my ass kicked in Soul Calibur V.
And trying out all my best one liners on her over the phone.
Texting her until wee hours in the morning.
Ridiculously long skype calls.

She knew I was in love with her. And we had a thing. It was... silly and stupid. But it was a thing.
And I had to change that. Alter our dynamic.
Because I couldn't stick to something that was only a part of something I was never going to get.
She's into another guy... and I just needed to move on.

I met another really nice girl who likes me and it was too good to pass up.
Even if it means cutting some ties.

So today, the power goes out at my school. I decide to text this girl to tell her about it since we might not have class. Turns out she's around campus and she's having a coffee in a shop close to my school. I have time to kill, so I ask her if I may join her. She says that it's fine. So I go there and another friend of hers is there as well, so I join in the chat. We end up talking a while about movies, actors, everything. At one point, we talk about Al Pacino coming over to town and we say that we'd like to go and she's like "If I go, YOU definitely have to go with me. I'd hate to be there alone." So we still talk for a while and then we leave together back to class.

After class, we walk out together, talking and then we leave campus together and she is like "Oh shit, I've made you follow me around! I'm sorry!" and I say "No, it's okay. Don't worry about it. What are you going to do?" and she answers: "Why don't we go eat something?" So we go and eat and while we eat we talk about ourselves. Although we aren't exactly similar, we share quite a few things in common. A sort of similar point of view about politics, we love movies, we love music. She doesn't really like to read as much as I do but she loves to travel and to eat like I do. At one point, she asks me if I have a girlfriend and I tell her that I don't. Turns out, she's seeing somebody but doesn't think it's anything serious and talks about how she likes to live the single life instead. I tell her that I can agree with that and we don't talk more about it. Turns out, we have plenty of friends and classmates in common. She's friends with some people from High School I haven't seen since I graduated from there. We talked and joked around about working together or traveling together someday and then she had to go to her class and that was it. I ended up agreeing on lending her "The Godfather" I and II, which I will do tomorrow.

I have a weird sense of humor but she does as well, so I feel pretty comfortable cracking some odd jokes because she would do the same. But I'm always wary that I may make people too uncomfortable because my comedy can be pretty off-kilter but I don't know. I'm pretty uncertain about where is this going to go. The fact that she is seeing somebody kind of puts a dent on it, yet strangely, I'm not exactly worried or saddened. Again, it feels like this is just the beginning of something probably nice. I hope so.

it's illegal to kill swans in the UK, they're also a lot bigger and more stubborn than ducks, having your path blocked by a swan that probably won't move if you sound your horn is worse than being blocked by a flock of ducks that micht, and even if they don't you could probably drive at and they'll fly away, and no biggie if one or two die.
