that's alright, I was only joking ;)

the short is pretty badass, but the fight choreography could do with improving, as could the CGI blood. writing and acting were top-notch though.

I´m not even thinking about Jane, I´m talking about moving forward with a Punisher movie within the MCU.Marvel Studios is a branch of Disney, so it´s not as if Disney will be directly involved in a R-rated movie.

Well, Avatar is a bearded man... Ninjet is a cute chick... I think it's only right we ignore one for the other.

I don't know man, SkaOreo ruined my life after commenting on how, in a world where there's superheroes, Punisher's "adventures" mean much much much much less.

I think he works, because he focuses on low-level criminals that the big heroes usually miss.

In any case, the point is that, how is a sexual slavery ring or a psychopathic mercenary any threat in a world where people can smash buildings to the ground and travel at the speed of sound ?

This is why Punisher MAX worked so well, no supers in that universe, no inmediate solutions, no squeaky clean fixes to the problems.

I'm sure if your kid was taken by a sex ring... you'd rather have that sex ring stopped than having The Avengers punch Thanos light years away from you.

I will agree, though, that Punisher MAX works better than 616 punisher in most cases... but his current series by Rucka proves that he can brush up next to Spider-Man and Daredevil without it seeming contrived. Even the old series "Marvel Knights" shows him next to powers and he works.

That's not the point, it's the idea that you can read the comic, look at the slavers, and not say "Woah, this wouldn't be so much trouble if Thor showed and electrocuted everyone with Mjolnir !"

That's pretty much the reason why Ennis asked for an entirely new print to write the "heavy weight" adventures he had in mind with The Punisher, because those stories couldn't work well in a world that had superheroes.

Damn you SkaOreo, damn you !

The same could be said of any unpowered hero though... The Joker vs. Superman would be over in a second.

Yeah, this is not going to work.

When you have time, read the Punisher MAX run by Garth Ennis, if you read those and you still remember this conversation, get back at me.

I have read some of the Punisher MAX run... what you're avoiding is the fact that I'm right, all non-powered heroes in the shared universe could have their enemies beaten by their respective Thors, Supermen, Sentries, or any other super powered beings. This is a central theme of Watchmen... who needs Nite-Owl when you have Dr. Manhattan?

It would be one helluva exciting and interesting second!

Much more interesting than another movie-length Punisher.
