If the game is actually well done it might be really good I guess...

Moloch Spent the '70s in jail. But i agree to that too

I believe Big Figure was put away in the '60s too. Didn't he say he'd be in prison for 25 years or something...?

Yeah He did

20 Years to be exact. Chapter 8. Pg. 7

And for the matter, I'm liking the way the game is developing. Certainly a different approach than most movie-based games. If it comes out to be pretty good, call me surprised and I'll grab my wallet.

for anyone who may be interested, i just saw a commercial on spike that said they have the exclusive premiere of Watchmen for their annual Video Game Awards show. i dont think anyone cares enough about the game to watch another shitty spike awards show but just thought i'd see if people knew about it...

When will those be on?

Either way, it'll be on the Internet within a few hours of it airing . . .

Just so you guys know, the show is about to start. Spike has this description:

This prequel to the highly anticipated upcoming film adaptation of the celebrated graphic novel will let gamers scrawl their own design on the morally blank world, co-op style, and fight as key characters Rorschach and Nite Owl.

Alright, so the Watchmen stuff lasted about...15 seconds. But it actually looked kind of cool. Unfortunately Spike had to, by federal law, make a "Who watches the Watchmen" joke.

About when did it air in the broadcast? Towards the end?

I want to watch as little of this as possible.

It aired roughly an hour and a half in.

I can't believe they still managed to slip in the "From the visionary director of 300."

Does everything Watchmen have tons of slow motion, or does the game just run at 15 frames per second?
Nevertheless, the game looks interesting, and if they get the controls right, could be fun. Movie tie-in games are usually notoriously bad, though.

Thanks for posting the link Empiire...

Graphics: About as good as Valve's Source engine...much better than the screenshots and it might get better yet...
Gameplay: Looks very clunky. The moves would look a lot better if they were quicker.
Watchmen?: Frankly, I'm waiting for Kingmob to rip it apart. Rorschach's roll-dodge at about 16 seconds in doesn't seem anything like the character we know and love. Nite Owl seems to have entered the WWE, with ludicrous moves like taking down a goon with his thighs (I'm waiting for someone to make an Alexander joke...) and then proceeding to feebly lower his leg onto him.

So for me only the graphics interest me, but we all know the trump-card is yet to be played: the story. Once JEH and Wilson have recorded their lines, we might be able to get a sense of if its any good or not. The sad thing is, at best it will be a good plot wasted on a bad game. That's my prediction, anyway.

Eek

Horrible.

Slo-mo ramping. Crow Bar wielding. Jonergy sparks. Ponderously animated. Claustrophobic rat-maze map design.

Goodness me.

Looks both good and bad. I have to admit though, if I wasn't a fan of Watchmen I would probably never buy this game.

Looks like the standard movie-based clunky brawler. Yawn.

It looks like they re-skinned an old Playstation 1 game. So what is gameplay like, button combos and a couple of rounds of steering Archie around? No thanks. These make the cel-phone games look... a lot more interesting.
